This course covers an EMT level review of cardiology, pulmonology, and neurology, with an emphasis on Medical Terminology. Whether you are taking the UCLA EMT course, deciding if the EMT path is right for you, or taking an EMT course across the country, the EMT Prep class will provide you insights and knowledge into the EMS field.
During this course, students will spend time introducing major topic from the UCLA EMT program. In addition, the student will use text, articles, videos, and live online class sessions to enforce these topic areas and knowledge. This is an all online course which reviews the anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology important for the EMT student. This course will also introduce you to the study strategies we find most successful for UCLA MT students.
The course will include quizzes to help students assess their knowledge. Four live online sessions, utilizing Zoom, will be conducted in which highlights of the course material are discussed.
