Taggart Diehl earned his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management through Purdue University in 2022. Taggart began his EMS career at the age of 16 years when he received his EMR certifications during high school and began working as an Ocean Lifeguard for the State of California. Taggart received his EMT license at the age of 18 and worked as an Ocean Lifeguard Supervisor and training officer, Event Medic, and Emergency Department Technician. Taggart also worked overseas as an adventure guide specializing in emergency medicine, experiential learning, disaster response. He completed his paramedic education at UCLA Center for Prehospital Care and worked as a paramedic for several years. Taggart worked as a lead training officer in his work for the State and for the Emergency Department, as well as an adjunct faculty member for Moorpark College’s EMT program. Taggart began as EMS Program Faculty and later became the Acting Director of EMT Programs in December 2023, and subsequently the permanent Director in July 2024. Taggart is focused on equipping his staff of phenomenal educations to instill students with the tools and passion to provide competent, compassionate, and confident patient care.
