Claudia Del Toro is the Phlebotomy Program Director at UCLA Center for Prehospital Care. Claudia began her medical career in 2000 when she completed a one year Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist and X-ray Technician combo program. As she worked in an Urgent Care and private doctors offices, she continued with her studies at Cal Poly Pomona University and obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor degree in Microbiology. Claudia joined UCLA Center for Prehospital Care in 2005 as the Phlebotomy Skills Coordinator. While completing her studies, Claudia also taught ACLS, PALS and BLS classes for our center. In 2010 Claudia graduated from Stanford University as a Physician Assistant along with obtaining her Masters in Medical Science degree. With 20 years of medical experience, 10 of those being a primary care provider, Claudia offers a unique insight to her students. Bonding over her love for medicine, education and patient centered care is what motivates her students to further their studies and strive to be the best Phlebotomist.
